Good evening ladies and gents. I’m back to the surface of the ocean of creativity to grasp some air. Therefore, I shall seize the opportunity to update you before I’ll dive down again!

Finally the tracklist is now (very most likely) determined. Voilà!

…as you can see, it will feature 12 tracks, no more, no less. I won’t reveal the song lengths nor the album title just yet even though it (the title) has been determined for a while. I think I’ll do that together with the album cover!

One or two more (short) teasers will come eventually, but after that, you’ll have to wait patiently until this fall when the record is released. I have, after all, already given you 2 full tracks (the singles) plus a snippet of 40 seconds from another song. I do not want to spoil the whole thing. What’s the fun in that?

That was all for this time. Now I’ll dive down again. Next month I will start mixing! So I’m really ahead of schedule. But I’m still aiming at an autumn release date for various reasons. I think september would be perfect if things continue to go well.

Good evening folks! I’m sorry for the late update. I’ve been hard at work on the album and things are shaping up nicely I must say. I have about 6 songs recorded now which I all hope will make the final cut. I have ideas for about maybe 15 songs at the moment

Except being my most experimental album yet it also feels a bit more straightforward and less, what can I say, introvert than my past two albums. It’s also a bit more hopeful, melodic and surprisingly catchy! But in a good way. Not in a radio-chewing gum-poppy-kind of way. That’s just… not me. But aren’t there any melancholy at all? Of course there is. And the drama are there as well. You could find a bit of everything on this album I’d say. It’s a bittersweet feel to it. Just like life in general. And my minimalistic style is still there. Even more than before I would say.

And yes, I’ve also visited a painter the other day which art I’m interested in using as the album cover! Her art really matches the tone of the album really well. I’ll talk more about that in a future post!

I really must say I truly enjoy being back doing what I love doing the most. Creating music! And I can’t thank you enough for all your kind words from all over the world regarding my music. That’s what keeps me going. You’re so awesome!

Next update (maybe) the tracklist will be ready to be shown! And yes, the release date I’m aiming for is sometime in autumn as it feels right now. I don’t want to rush this one!

Tomorrow I’m gonna continue working on a song which has no actual name yet but I like to call it ”The Watch” just for fun. I get goosebumps every time I’m listening to it and it’s like you kinda look at your arm and it looks like you’re looking at a watch, haha. Can’t wait for you to hear it!

Good evening all. I hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and New Year’s celebration and that this year will be filled with many meaningful and happy memories for all of you. My Christmas holiday was spent with my loved ones playing board games, watching Christmas movies and eating lots of sugar and fat in all kinds of different forms and shapes. I think I must have gained 10 pounds of fat and lost 10 pounds of muscle. A really great Christmas holiday in other words. Now let’s go back to my music and my new album! The reason why you are here.

I thought I could completely let go thinking about it during the holiday – and I even promised some people that – but it was much more difficult than I had imagined. The reason for it is because I, for the first time in a long while, am really feeling the urge to create again and that I also had forgotten how fun it really is to write music. I’m just so excited! A big tragedy in my life occurred in the autumn of 2013, just a few weeks before my latest album was released. It took away the joy in everything I loved doing. Even making music. And it took me a long time to recover from that. The wounds are healed now but they have left some pretty big scars but I’ve learned to live with them now. I’m not only very glad about being back creating music again. I’m also very surprised by how well it’s going so far! I didn’t have any plans at all for a whole album at first but then the ideas just started flowing like a river from out of nowhere and the songs I’ve done so far sounds really great as I said before. I also already have an idea for the title of the album plus an idea for the album cover! They all would fit very well with the music and the song titles I currently have but it’s still early in the process and things can change.

I have not had access to a piano where I have been during the last couple of weeks but I do not always need that. I can come up with ideas, continue to elaborate on the ideas I already have and compose music in my head wherever I am. I do not really know how it works but it’s very practical and time saving I must say! 

I work mostly during late evenings and nights. But that’s the way it always has been. I’m a true night owl. There is a certain peace and quiet that sets in with the nighttime that always seems to spark my creativity. And I think many people feel the same way. No distractions from phone calls, unwanted messages on Facebook and the other general stresses that exists during the day. It’s just you, the moon and your thoughts.

Tonight I will continue working on a song tentatively called ”The Burning Sea” which I already feel will be one of the highlights of the album. And I can’t wait to play it live!
