My name is Tomas Grut. I’m 37 years old and was born and raised in Östersund, northern Sweden. My interest in music comes from my family. I play the piano, compose my own music and have studied under the likes of award-winning Swedish pianist Lena Johnson and British composer Peter Lyne among others. Music means almost everything to me. I can not imagine living without it.
My musical style is often described as meditative, filmic and often introspective, drawing on minimalism.
I have released four full length albums, had four solo concerts and composed and performed music for both plays, television and art exhibitions.
I hope you enjoy my work!
